The goBEYOND project is a student driven initiative working to mobilize BC's youth to face the challenge of climate change. We are in classrooms hosting dialogue about solutions, working with our peers to inspire lifestyle change, and ensuring that BC students have a voice in our post-secondary institutions planning processes.

Help us offer high quality training, resource development and support to youth activists in all corners of the province. Your monthly donation of $5, $10, or $25  will go towards supporting the new generation of environmental leaders.

Top Reasons to Give to goBEYOND

Leadership Development
As a project that is developed and implemented by youth, goBEYOND is an organization that builds leadership skills and experiences in young people across BC. Through formalized trainings and opportunities to organize on issues they are passionate about, students build confidence and expertise that will help them both in and outside of the classroom.

Student Experience
Student driven projects such as goBEYOND brings life to campus communities and enhances the student experience tremendously.  Ensuring that students who graduate feel they made a powerful difference in their community, and enter the workforce with hands-on experience in fostering change is an invaluable contribution that campus life can provide.

Building a Cohesive Campus Community

As a project that promotes and supports multi-stakeholder involvement and collaboration, goBEYOND is a powerful tool for building cohesiveness and trust within the campus community.  goBEYOND is a cost-effective investment for building momentum and campus buy-in for climate change action and bringing in outside expertise and connections through our network of 20 post-secondary institutions and numerous project partners from all sectors.

Leveraged Investment:

As our colleges and universities orient themselves to fulfil the Province’s Carbon-Neutral Mandate, investment in all areas of climate action – from education and awareness, to operations and campus culture – will need to be mobilized.  Through goBEYOND, outside funding, cross-campus collaboration and countless volunteer hours are leveraged to support individual campuses make the shift to climate action leadership.
